Unified Layout Time Card Fields

I would like to understand the basis on which the unified layout time card fields are configured—specifically, how the fields are aligned.
So far, I have been organizing them in the format: Non-unified template > responsive UI layout > Reported Time Option > Time Card Fields.
Is this the correct approach, or should they be arranged in the format: Non-unified template > Responsive UI layout > Calculated Time Option > Time Card Fields or could you please suggest any other options to configure the Unified layout time card fields.
