OCI: OSMH Plugin Failed With Error "Plugin OS Management Hub Agent not present for instance"

SYMPTOMS

Instance OSMH Plugin failed to start with error “OS Management Hub plugin message : Plugin OS Management Hub Agent not present for instance”

CAUSE

This instance is running Oracle Cloud Agent version less than version 1.40.

OS Management Hub requires minimum Oracle Cloud Agent version 1.40. For instances using platform images released before April 2024, upgrade the Oracle Cloud Agent to 1.40 or later.

Upgrade or Install Oracle Cloud Agent version 1.40 or later on the instance. See document: Installing the Oracle Cloud Agent Software
