Automated updating of scale for waterfall charts
At present, the Y-axis for all Plan vs. Actual waterfall charts in FDI start at $0 which leads to charts that, despite working appropriately, are hard to read and do not provide as much value as they could. Goal here would be for both minimum and maximum values to update dynamically relative to the data being presented. They’re already defaulted to an auto-dynamic setting, so this would be a change such that minimum and maximum values automatically update to a more appropriate scale. A secondary idea would be to add a user-selected setting whereby the minimum and maximum values are set by a percentage of the overall minimum or maximum, such that when filters change the minimum and maximum would be dynamic in that way as well.

@Krishna Prasad Kotti-Oracle yes, please see two screenshots below. Each uses exactly the same data, with the only difference being that I've manually changed the scaling of the second, which provides a much more interesting visual. Setting the minimum and maximum scaling manually is fine for static data, but this is a report that is used by many users who filter differently based on their responsibilities and when the data gets changed the manually set scaling does not update and no longer provides a good answer. Hi @Andrew at MKL Have you tried customizing the Value Axis Start range to a custom value? I understand this is not dynamically adjusting the axis range, but should solve your use case in the short term?

Hi @Avinash Krishnaram-Oracle thanks for your engagement with this! We have used the custom Value Axis for both Start and End, but the goal of the report that initiated this request is that it would be used by many users for detailed analysis, and when filtered parameters are changed based on each user's unique needs the appropriate chart range changes such that we'd like for this to be dynamic if possible.
