Features Deprecated and Planned for Desupport in Future Updates

Here's an overview of deprecated features that will be desupported in future updates of Oracle Analytics Cloud. When a feature is desupported, Oracle no longer fixes bugs related to that feature and may remove the code altogether. Support Requests can't be filed for the feature.

Feature Planned Desupport Alternative Functionality
Data replication Deprecated and planned for desupport within 12 months (of January 2025) In Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence, use Data Augmentation.

In Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse or Oracle Autonomous Transaction Processing, use Oracle Data Transforms.

Manage Favorites Deprecated and planned for desupport in January 2026 The Manage Favorites option will be removed from the Favorites menu in Classic. You'll still be able to add and remove favorites, which will be displayed in an unstructured list in the Favorites menu.

Legacy TLS Connection Mode

Deprecated and planned for desupport in November 2025

The TLS Connection Mode setting will be removed from the Advanced System Settings page.

After November 2025, Oracle Analytics Cloud will use only the latest TLS encryption and security configuration (Enhanced mode) and you can no longer use the Legacy TLS connection mode. If you still use the legacy mode, Oracle recommends that you switch to Enhanced mode as soon as possible and verify your data connections. This way, you’ll avoid potential connection issues from November 2025. For details, read the article TLS Security Updates for Connections in Oracle Analytics (KB127925).

Using an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) API signing key to authorize access to the OCI storage bucket when you use the REST API to manage snapshots. Specifically, the auth type parameter OSS_AUTH_OCI_USER_ID in the Create a snapshot REST API. Deprecated and planned for desupport in November 2025 Use the OCI_RESOURCE_PRINCIPAL parameter to specify a resource principal to authorize access to the OCI storage bucket where you want to store snapshots. See What's New in November 2024 and Snapshot REST API - Prerequisites for Resource Principal Authentication.
